Sarab Khanate

The Sarab Khanate with the capital at Sarab existed from 1747 to 1797.〔http://www.worldstatesmen.org/Iran.htm#Sarab Sarab Khanate]〕 It was bordering the Ardabil Khanate to the east and the Tabriz Khanate to its west, and divided into three mahals: Sarab, Hashtrud and Germi. The khanate was founded by the leader of the Shaqaqi tribe, Ali Khan. During the Russo-Persian Wars the Persian influence on the khanate rose. After the treaty of Gulistan it remained in the Persian sphere of influence, and was abolished by the Qajar dynasty in 1828.〔(Sarab Khanate on azerbaijans.com )〕
